Saldí Bridge was a very special project, full of challenges and meaning.
Built to connect cultures, it was designed to improve mobility for the Indigenous communities of the Nairi Awari territory and for hikers, who can now cross the Mono River safely, even during high-water seasons.
It is also part of the El Camino de Costa Rica, a route that attracts travelers from all over the world and, through the Mar a Mar Association, creates a positive impact on the region’s Indigenous communities by promoting sustainable and nature-conscious tourism.
Our team camped in the territory, nestled in the mountains, for 12 days and, with only four people, built the bridge from scratch — using eco-friendly anchorings, non-slip decking, and adding an artistic touch to every detail.
